Soil Diaries

I,
With millions of other I's,
Near and far,
Am its source, its base, its support.
My presence appears necessary.
But would my absence stifle it?
.
I lay still,
Contributing to a larger stillness,
Waiting for the winds
To inspire, to carry, to move me.
Because free will though i have,
it is only a reminder of my inability.
.
Better off if bettered,
But better still, the inherently better.
So I shall
Be wetted, be tamed, be moulded,
To it better suit
A millionth bit more.
.
I realize
My insignificance is of significance.
But when I
am unable to fulfil that least of purposes,
Where do I find my will to exist?
In the very it?
